Dating from the 15th century, the barbute shows a strong resemblance to much older Corinthian helmets. Originating in Italy, the Barbute saw widespread use throughout Europe. Fully wearable, the helm is constructed in 18 gauge stainless steel and fitted with an adjustable lining. The optional helmet stand is a simple means of displaying the Helm to full advantage.
