A proponent of the French school of fencing, Alfred Hutton was a British fencing master that did much to modernize sabre technique as it was fenced at the time. Hutton is acknowledged for breathing new life into the sport of fencing after it had fallen into the category of anachronistic, esoteric activities. The Hutton Sabre is crafted after an original with a stainless steel guard & a wire-wrapped imitation sharkskin grip. The blade & hilt of the Hutton sabre are closer to the style of the true military sabre. The blade is somewhat shortened & lightened, with a rounded tip for effective training.

Dieser Säbel ist super verarbeitet. Klasse Stahl . Passt prima zu Piraten. Habe ihn auch schon benutzt.Preis-Leistung stimmt. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Capt`n Harris von den Stralsunder Piraten

Der Hutton-Säbel ist als historische Fechtwaffe durch Alfred Hutton´s Buch "Cold Steel" bekannt (Ende 19. Jhd.). Wer historisches Säbelfechten sicher betreiben möchte, ist mit diesem Modell sehr gut bedient. Es liegt gut in der Hand, lässt sich gut führen und man kann schnell und sauber damit fechten. Der Handschutz könnte etwas stabiler sein, d.h. das MAterial bekommt bei intensivem Gebrauch viele Dellen; Schrammen usw., aber so ist das nun mal, diese Waffe ist ein Gerbauchsgegenstand.
