This is the hand forged version of Hanzo Hasashi’s (alias Scorpion) sword from the game series “Mortal Kombat”
Because the powers of Outworld want to conquer the realm of Earth, the Elder Gods introduced the Mortal Combat tournaments. Before the warriors of Outworld win ten tournaments in a row, the invasion of Earth is not allowed. The film versions draw on the events from the game series, but differ considerably from each other in some areas. Since the Skokan Prince Goro defeated the great Kung Lao 500 years ago, he has been the reigning champion. The fighters, who participate for various reasons, have to prevent a tenth win by Goro or Shang Tsung. Some fighters however want to participate out of criosity or some other reason.
Hanzo Hasashi, also known as Scorpion, is one of the ninjas resurrected by the magician Quan Chi. He is one of the few original characters who made their debut in the first Mortal Combat game. In addition he is, along with Raiden and Sub-Zero, a playable character in every generation. His goal is to find and destroy Sub-Zero, who is the murderer of his family and of Shirai Ryu. However it turns out later that in reality it was Quan Chi, disguised as Sub-Zero, who killed Shirai Ryu and Scorpion’s family. But after all this intrigue came to light, the hostility between Sub-Zero and Scorpion subsided.
