Product information "Sting - The Sword of Bilbo Baggins"
In the Third Age of Middle-earth, the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins was unexpectedly swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo found himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield.

In this harrowing journey Bilbo and his Company of Dwarves came upon a troll lair in Rhûdaur. There they found two Elven swords, Glamdring, and Orcrist, and a knife. Bilbo claimed the knife for himself, and it was more of a sword to someone of his stature. He wielded the sword through most of the quest, famously using it against the Giant Spiders of Mirkwood to save the Company of Dwarves. After Bilbo had slain his first spider he declared, “I will give you a name, and I shall call you Sting.”

Ein tolle Stück, was an jeder Wand gut aussieht!

Lord of the Rings - Gandalf Moria Staff
The staff of the Wizard Gandalf the Grey was a very powerful talisman and tool with which to exercise his enormous powers. After Gandalf’s Pipe Staff was taken from him by the wizard Saruman when he was imprisoned in Orthanc, he aquired a new staff in Rivendell after his escape. This long, wood staff had a crown of twisted root branches and runes carved into the sides. When the Fellowship of the Ring needed a light to find their way in the dark Mines of Moria, Gandalf set an illuminated magic crystal into its crown. It was there in depths of Middle-earth that Gandalf encountered Durin’s Bane, the great Balrog of Moria. Gandalf channeled his power through his staff to defend his companions against the flaming beast, using it to break the bridge in Khazad-dûm! This authentically detailed polyresin replica is a reproduction of an actual prop built by the THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING™ Art Department. Sword of Boromir
Eldest son of Denethor, the steward of Gondor,TM BoromirTM was a prince in all but name: he was implanted into a noble house and heir apparent to a ruling tradition that spanned back for a thousand years. Boromir was a proud and strong man who was considered by his fellow soldiers to be one of the most skilled swordsmen of Gondor. He triumphed as a captain in the Gondorian army while leading the forces against SauronTM at Osgiliath, where he deterred a throng of OrcsTM that had overrun the former capital city. Following a powerful dream Boromir shared with his brother Faramir, Boromir´s father commanded his son to ride north as the ambassador for Gondor to attend the Council of Elrond.TM. He later agreed to join the Fellowship on its quest to destroy "The One Ring.TM" In a single moment of weakness, Boromir attempted to take the Ring from Frodo,TM which would in turn lead to his demise as he single-handedly defended hobbits, Merry and Pippin, from the hands of Saruman´sTM Uruk-haiTM before falling under a rain of arrows. Boromir´s sword was single-handed, big, broad and powerful - a fit complimentary to its owner. To use it required someone with great strength, which this skilled warrior abundantly possessed. The blade´s flattened diamond shape and equally wide fuller reduced weight, yet retained strength in the end of the blade by stopping just short of the tip. It was equally effective for slashing against lightly armored opponents and for thrusting into more heavily protected enemies. The guard, similar to that of his father´s sword, showed a warrior´s flourish in that it was formed from a square-edged piece of steel that had been twisted before being curved into a crescent. The handgrip was wide like the blade, and the pommel was an elegant and simple piece of steel that added weight to balance the blade. THE SWORD OF BOROMIRTM Includes a parchment certificate of authenticity and a wood display plaque. OVERALL LENGTH: 99.06 cm BLADE LENGTH: 76.68 cm BLADE THICKNESS: 0.64 cm BLADE MATERIAL: Tempered, 420 J2 stainless steel with a fuller grind, false-edged. HANDLE MATERIAL: Solid metal guard and pommel, antique metal finish, genuine leatherwrapped grip, tapered tang construction. PLAQUE: 30.80 cm x 33.97 cm x 1.91 cm wood, silkscreened design.
