Tai Chi Sword

Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan), known in our latitudes as Chinese shadow boxing, is a martial art that was developed in the Chinese Empire and is now practiced by millions of people worldwide, making it one of the most commonly practiced martial arts. Taijiquan is a popular sport in China. In the city parks you can see many people practicing the slow, flowing movements in the morning hours. The main principle of this teaching is the harmonious interplay of opposites, symbolized by the well-known symbol of ying and yang.

Chinese sword fighting is one of the most important weapon arts in Taijiquan. The movements of the Tai Chi sword are expressive and elegant. Slowness and speed, hardness and softness complement each other. Great importance is attached to the fact that all movements are carried out calmly, harmoniously and lively. Sword and body form an inseparable unit. This is how the sword and Qi (inner power) merge.
