Originated from Italy - A simple form of bascinet, this type also features a movable cheek plate. Unlike the barbuta, these types of bascinets lacked sal protection. Pulling back the bow string the cheek plate will move back as well and fall back into place after the arrow is released. Made from two welded halves of 2mm (14 guage) steel, this helmet features a polished surface, adjustable spider style leather liner riveted to the helmet, and chinstrap.
