BD4 Adra Contractor

The Arditi Distruttori of the Regia Aeronautica (ADRA), operating in North Africa during the Second World War, earned two silver medals for military valor. The ADRA Battalion had the task of carrying out complex sabotage missions at enemy airports by means of guerrilla techniques which had been unknown until then. During official ceremonies, the 17th Stormo Incursori – a special unit of the Italian Air Force – lines up carrying on their belt the only true witness of daring, the ADRA combat dagger designed by Extrema Ratio.

Extrema Ratio has designed a special edition of the historic BD4 model with new finishes in a double edge version to mark 20 years since the establishment of the unit. The handle is composed of 2 anodized anticorodal aluminum scales in the new Tactical Mud color; the blade is made of Böhler N690 steel with a hardness of 58 HRC bearing the engraving of the department motto and coated with MIL-C-13924 burnishing.

BD4 ADRA CONTRACTOR is available in a limited edition of 70 pieces. It comes inside a certified IP67 waterproof polypropylene technical case with pressurization valve resistant to atmospheric agents, dust and shocks; this includes a scroll outlining the past and present of the 17th Stormo Incursori of the Italian Air Force and a metal plate bearing the progressive number within the limited series.
