Since he was born, the now 15 year old student Ichigo Kurosaki has been able to see spirits. One day he comes upon the Shinigami Rukia Kuchiki who is hunting a Hollow, an evil soul, and has been injured. Ichigo complies with her request to takes her sword and fight the Hollow when he himself transforms into a Shinigami. With no idea of the adventures that await him, he befriends Rukia and fights together with her until she is brought back to the Soul Society by her step-brother to face disciplinary action. There Ichigo’s true journey begins and many obstacles must still be overcome.
