Product information "Houndskull Bascinet Late 14th Century, Size L"
This bascinet represents a style commonly referred to as a "Flat-Faced" bascinet because its visor lacks the protruding snout commonly seen on the hounskull examples. The sides reach down almost to the shoulders. The visor moves upward and shaped in such a way that it gives the wearer a maximum of protection against lances. Due to the モbeakヤ it is possible to cover the eyes completely by lifting the head. Brass vervelles attached on the rim serve as attachment points for an aventail. Made of 2mm (14 gauge) steel, with padding.
