Many a bloody-handed pirate of the 17th century clambered over the side of a gold laden galleon armed with a cutlass such as this. Known by many names- "hanger," "cuttoe," and "short saber" by infantry, or "cutlass" by sailors- this was an exceedingly popular short weapon. The steel basket protected the hand and could be used as an armored fist in the close confines of shipboard combat. High carbon steel blade, steel pommel and leather-covered wood handle. A leather scabbard is included.

Sher gut verabeites Entermesser bischen schwer aber man gewöhnt sich dran ! Aber auf jeden Fall eine sehr schöne Waffe !!!

Ein tolles Entermesser, schwer und trotzdem führig. Toll verarbeitet und ganz schön wuchtig, damit lassen sich solide Hiebe ausführen. ein sehr schönes Stück Geschichte!
